Up for auction we have an authentic early
Collectible Antique Cobbler's
Cast Iron Shoe Repair Form
with original patina and well worn off red paint on the underside!
Looks like the number 8 is stamped into it, but it also faintly resembles a 6 or a 3, so unless your buying this strictly for decorative purposes, or as a paper weight or a neat thing for your antique iron collection, we sugest you look for one where the size is definite. We can however provide actual measurements:
This cast iron shoe is 7 1/4" long x 2 3/8" wide x 1 1/2" high & weighs 14 ounces It has not been cleaned or restored, so it remains in it's original condition
This type of cobbler's shoe repair form dates back to the late 1800's-early 1900's
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
