Clown Spoon Rest

This item is an interesting example of vintage California Art Pottery that definitely shows some signs of wear as there are chips on his nose, his chin, his fingers and his shoes, however, interestingly this hand painted, useful clay dish still has great presence and charm! Suffice to say, and especially in this case, nobody's perfect!

Please see the photos which indicate the rough condtion of the piece which we still chose to list because of its uniqueness as a decorative piece of art pottery as well as it's functionality as a spoon rest or an intriguing dish that could be used outside of the kitchen to hold other things like rings, keys, paperclips or small change. Plus, for anyone who is fond of clowns, this would make a nice addition to any collection!

Mysteriously to us, we found the letter H hand painted in brown on the underside of this dish.                                             Perhaps you'll know what it represents? We were unable to figure it out.
