Silver Salad Tongs

This Collectible Scissor Style Set of Tongs is

Stamped JAPAN

The handles appear to be Hand Tooled

We're not sure if these are solid sterling, or silverplate

They weigh 3.4 ounces

Are 8 1/4 inches long

Measure 2 inches wide when closed, and 4 inches wide when open

The JAPAN stamp is on the inside edge of the handle just above the hinge

Similar sets are listed, but these appear to be quite uniquely constructed, and very, very old.
