This auction is for vintage, Robert Gallon oil reproduction of “Afternoon”.  Oil on canvas, great condition, painting measures about  – 18” x 12”, with frame – 21” x 15”. Vintage – 1960's.

Born in 1845, Robert Gallon was widely appreciated by the English public for his enthusiasm in depicting the picturesque landscapes of Great Britain, although he also painted a number of coastal scenes. He exhibited his views of beauty spots around the United Kingdom at the Royal Academy from 1873 to 1903 and at the British Institute. Gallon died in 1925.
