This is one of my pieces from my Amphora collection.  This piece was made in in the 1890's.  It is a beautiful pitcher or ewer in the Art Nouveau style made so popular by this pottery.  You can always tell an Amphora as their clay is only available in one area of the world and the pieces always feel like silk to me.  This was one of first pieces made by Turn Teplitz after it was was founded in 1892 by Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel.  The ink has worn off the mark but there are marks imbedded in the bottom of the piece that dates it and is is unmistakenly an Amphora.  The glaze graduates from darker to lighter yellow highlighting the floral design and then darker at the top again.  There are whiter petals along the bottom and the neck.  The floral design is highlighted with gold paint and is also around the edges both on the bottom and the top.  The gold is in very good condition with little loss and the painting is beautiful.  The handle has been broken off at one point but appears to be professionally repaired.  You cannot feel the break or immediately notice it.  It is repaired so well that all that remains is a faint line.  I cannot even get good pictures of it and I've forgotten about the break and moved the piece by the handle for years.  I just made myself nervous when I looked at it again because I'd forgotten about it but it is over 100 years old.  I find no other chips, cracks or repairs and I don't really see any crazing.  This is a classic piece of Amphora and it is large measuring 13" tall.  It is over 6" wide and I don't have a soft tape handy but the bowl of the piece is very round.  I will ship this double boxed and insured.

Due to Ebay's new feedback system I offer the following conditions on any subsequent sale.  I have been participating on Ebay since the beginning.  I expect to get what I purchase and I deliver to a Buyer what they paid for.  Buyer expectations need to be realistic.  Most Seller's have real jobs and don't live on their computers.  It is unrealistic to expect immediate gratification when purchasing an item.  I have always been a fast shipper in comparison to my experiences when buying on Ebay and yet my marks are lower because Buyers don't understand that Ebay now charges Seller's more for fees for anything other than #5 ratings.  I sell a lot of vintage items at a large discount.  I check them over with a magnifying glass and describe any material defects I see.  It is possible that I miss something now and then and I will accept a return on those items when it is something other than a matter of opinion.  Buyer must provide me with documentation of that misrepresentation as I have provided pictures in the listing.  I don't always clean the items because I don't want to de-value them.  I leave that to the Buyer. I pack the items so that they will arrive at your door in the same condition that they left mine.  I spend $500+ a year on packing material.  If your item doesn't require packing material I won't charge you the $1 fee for packing material.  Paypal is a great invention but ocassionally it doesn't work properly.  If your item doesn't show as shipped within a few days please contact the Seller.  The shipping calculator is a great thing but sometimes it doesn't work properly.  If you buy and check out on your own, without me sending you an invoice, then it may happen that I have to contact you for different shipping information or costs as the calculator has been off on large items recently.  If you overpaid for shipping I will refund the difference to you.  You may have been able to purchase an item from someone living near you for lower postage but keep in mind that I am on the West coast and shipping will be more to the Midwest and East Coast then it is to someone who lives nearer to me.  This is especially true of larger, heavier items.  I will ship parcel post or even UPS or Fed Ex if that rate is better.  I will mutually cancel a transaction if the calculator is materially off and we both agree.  But please don't make an agreement to change from priority shipping to parcel post and then ding me in feedback and ratings because shipping took too long and you received a refund from me.  That's unfair.  Please contact me with any concerns you have.  I am very reasonable and fair.  But I have never complied with blackmail or unreasonable demands.  I keep my agreements and I expect you to keep yours.  Please ask questions BEFORE you bid.  Since it is no longer your choice for insurance I will provide insurance on items that I have a concern might break in transit and will say so in the listing.  If you are interested in an item and you think it should have insurance please tell me ahead of time if I have not offered it and you can purchase it in the shipping price.  I have had the privilege of trading with a great variety of people all over the world for over 13 years and I look forward to continued fun and new experiences.  I do Ebay for relaxation and fun and will continue to do so as long as it remains relaxing and fun.  Thank you for your continued support and bids.
