The nesting matryoshka doll is a international favorite. Almost everyone loves to explore anything that can be opened, just to see what is inside. The first matryoshka was made over a hundred years ago in Russia to promote an interest in the romance of the countryside. The novelty of doll has since inspired artist from around the world.
Pre-owned, There are 5 in all.
Each Measures as Follows; 5&1/2" - 4" - 3" - 2" - 1 & 3/4"
The Second Doll (The one that measures 4", fell so it has some damage on the face & head) Please see pics for detail!
Dolls #1 & #2 seem to have a signature of some sort on the front of them.
These are great collectors items.
