1986 Quark Records, # QK 001, 12 inch, 33 1/3 RPM Stereo Single, First Pressing, Yellow Label with Black Print. Featuring: Blaze (Mixed By Freddy Bastone). Song Titles Include: Side A: Whatcha Gonna Do (Vocal 5:38), Whatcha Gonna Do (Agadub 6:52) Side B: Whatcha Gonna Do (Radio Mix 5:40), Whatcha Gonna Do (Bonus Mix 5:10).

If you're not familiar with this release, here's some additional information: "With it's first release in 1986 ("Whatcha Gonna Do" by Blaze), Quark Records quickly established itself as the New York independent dance label of choice. Though other labels were definitely pumping up the volume, Quark Records went beyond the purely mundane and injected '80s club music with a little something that had been lacking: heart and soul. Quark arrived at a time when Manhattan's legendary and way influential Paradise Garage was nearing its end (it closed in 1988) and when house music was just beginning to settle in as the sound of the future. In fierce New York fashion, Quark Records merged the best of two vibrant club music genres-soulful garage and slammin' house and injected it with a vibe all its own. At that time, we called it, simply enough, New York Club. A name that certainly has stuck!"
