Steiff Herring Bear

This wonderful bear has been made by Steiff in 2003.
It is a limited edition of 1.500 pieces, specially made for the Netherlands.
Herring is very popular in Holland and we eat eat this fish raw with onions.
This bear is now is totally sold out at Steiff.
He is made of wonderful white coloured German mohair.
In his right hand he has a barrel. That is how the first herring is presen
ted to the queen.
In his left hand he has a herring made out of resin; ready to eat.
Around his neck he has a ribbon with the colours of the Dutch flag.
On his right feet is written Holland 2003.
The bear is 32 cm. / 12.8" tall and made out of silvery white German mohair.
It comes in its original bag, with certificate.

This bear is brand new and has not even been displayed in the store.
