Det has been made by Steiff in 2011. He is designed by Wolf Gerlach in 1962 as a a comic figure.
He became the mascot of the German television station ZDF, which was located in Mainz. He got a lot of friends during the years. Steiff is very proud that they now can make Det as a real plush friend.
