THROUGHOUT HIS ADULT LIFE HE TRAVELLED THROUGH THE DANISH CITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES WHERE HE ON LOCATION PORTRAYED THE ARCHITECTURE OF CHARACTERISTIC HOUSES AND BUILDINGS.

DESCRIPTION: THIS PAINTING SHOWS A SCENERY FROM THE TOWN OF HJOERRING, JUTLAND WITH A STREET WITH SOME VERY CHARACTERISTIC HOUSES, ONE OF WHICH IS HALF-TIMBERED. THE HOUSES SEEN ON THIS PAINTING ARE STILL EXISTING. IT IS A VERY ACCURATE END DETAILED REPRODUCTION OF THIS SMALL PART OF THE TOWN AS IT LOOKED AT THE TIME WITH SOFT NATURAL COLOURS, A FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE AND A FINE LIGHT.
