Planting..  March- May.

Where..  A well drained soil, free of stones.

Separation..

 Plant March to May 5-20c. Germinates in 18-24 days.

TOP TIP.. Make circular holes in soil with bar or broken handle

 about 8-12" deep and about 2" wide.

Fill with multi purpose compost and plant 2 seeds per hole about 2-3 cm deep.

Keep moist and thin out weakest seedlings.

Produces lovely long straight large carrots.

Make a "V" trench using the  depth of the blade of your spade and fill "V" trench with multi purpose compost.

 Plant seeds out in rows

  2-3 cm apart, thin to one seedling every 6-8cm when large enough  and 25 cm between rows

Care... Keep soil moist. Can be plant in rows with onion and leeks to help avoid carrot fly if present.

Harvest...

Carrots can be lifted and dry stored during Sept - Nov. Will winter store very well.

An excellent long variety as the name suggests with great fresh flavour.

Postal Orders are accepted but items will be delayed until funds have cleared.

Postage

All items will be posted within 24 hrs of received payment and cleared funds.

Insurance is included, up to at least the value of the total shipment.

Packaging

All items will be packed in clear resealable packets suitable for the quantity and size of each commodity.

Each packet will be clearly labelled with type, quantity, sow by date.

Packets of bulbs, onions and corms will also be bubble wrapped for protection in transit.
