This is a new style lever low shank Janome / New Home presser foot holder shank. It is easier to push the lever on this shank than the regular red button Janome shank. Any low shank sewing machine can use this shank. Janome makes several feet that will only work with Janome shanks, like their applique foot, gathering foot and double gathering foot. Even if you have a different low shank sewing machine than this shank was made for, you can still use this shank and then you will be able to use the Janome feet on your machine. If you don't know your shank size, below you will see a picture of how to determine shank sizes.
