I have owned this tow motor for 4 years.  Its a back-up now that we just never use.  Recently I had the lift people give it the once over and here is what they said.

1.)  It starts and runs and the hydraulics and brakes work good.  It can be tempermental - things that i know for sure are as follows:

a - when starting make sure that the battery cables are tight to the battery - and make sure the battery is charged up...  when we let it sit for a month or two the battery goes dead...

b - never push the gas pedal when starting - you have to let her turn over a little til she fires

c - when you go below a quarter of a tank it runs like crap

d - every two or three months clean the plugs or just get new ones

e - check oil regularly

g - avoid extreme cold temps like outside in the winter

2.)  The tow motor people would recommend a tune up and possibly using a thicker oil b/c the motor is old and the gaskets and seals are worn which causes it to smoke a little.  Thicker oil is a much cheaper alternative then changing all the seals and gaskets.

3.)  Its old but still has life in her...  It works better inside then outside.  When its outside in the freezing cold the propane line has a tendency to freeze up after awhile...

Well, having said that folks - I called my local scrap yard who offered me $800 dollars and free removal.  It just seems shameful to have a working tow motor melted down..........

Its sold as-is no warranty...

Note***** Feb 6th 2011 - If you want the item please bid I am not interested in enternaining offers after the auction closes...  If your interested in this item you will need to bid on it to win it!!!!  thanks

Note*****Feb 7th 2011 - When I let this sit for a long time ( month or two)...  When you fire it up you have to remember to pump up the brakes bc if you just take off you wont stop....  Be careful of that...  Its cost me a couple nice things....

I can help load but recommend a rollback truck or we have a sunken loading dock (when the snow melts anyway) that it could be driven onto a flatbed...  Although there is honestly currently a boat load of snow in the sunken dock.  So you better have a plan b...

Folks, I can just dump this at the scrap yard and have no worries...  Please be advised this tow motor is one that you will always have to tinker with...  DO NOT BUY if your expecting a turn key flawless lift-truck...
