How Does Magnesium Help?
Magnesium is a very important mineral and plays a big part in nerve and muscle function. Horses deficient in magnesium can show signs of nervousness, wariness, excitability, and muscle tremors. Magnesium helps regulate moods and muscle function and some metabolic issues such as thyroid and blood sugar levels. Magnesium deficient horses can suffer from laminitis and founder. This mineral can also help your horse cope with spring grass, acid soils and soft water which are low in magnesium.
