Shipping Details
All shipping & handling fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Payment methods accepted are Paypal only. Payments must be received within 5 days of auction end. Every stained glass panel purchased is insured up to $100 at no charge to you. My policy requires only two panels per box. This is to insure that the panel will arrive in good shape. I have found that multiple large panels placed in one box results in higher percentage of breakage. Neither one of us want that!
If your payment is received before 6pm on a given business day, your panel will be shipped out the next business day. If your payment was received AFTER 6pm, it will be shipped the day after next. This allows me time to properly and throughly pack your panel for safe arrival to you. This is Monday thru Friday shipments. No shipping to PO Boxes. All panels will be shipped out via FedEx. The day your panel is shipped (and if you have provided an email address) you will receive an email from FedEx with a tracking number so you will know when your panel will arrive to you!
If my shipping seems high to you, I want to explain the amount of time and money that is spent on my glass packing and materials to get them to you unbroken. I first wrap at least two inches of heavy duty bubble wrap around the panel. Then get a new box, place packing peanuts on the bottom layer of the box, then the panel is nestled into the peanuts. At this point, styrofoam board used in construction is placed all around the perimeter of the box and filled in until it has a snug fit around the panel. More peanuts are packed in nooks and crannies that were not fill by the styrofoam. And finally packing peanuts are covered on top of the panel and sealed with packing tape. Boxes, packing peanuts, styrofoam boards and bubble wrap, tape and fragile stickers all have to be purchased just to get these items to you w/o breakage. These are truly fragile items, but they will last you a lifetime!
I have good luck with this method of packing but even under the best of circumstances, items do get broken in transit. If this happens to your item, please let me know immediately. I want you to be happy with your purchase. I don't want to find out through negative feedback that your panel arrived broken!!!! Please be fair to me and all your sellers by letting them know of a problem before leaving negative feedback. I can't fix it if I don't know about it!
