We are very privileged to be able to offer this Japanese Cloisonne Miniature Pot or Teapot. This wonderful little Japanese treasure has a round base and is done in a green base color. There are two sections where the glazing has been damaged and chipped out, but otherwise this piece is in remarkable condition for its age. This little teapot is believed to be Meiji Ca 1880-1920, Lobed Kyoto region or possibly from the Toshima village in the Nagoya region. This teapot measures 2 ½ inches from the base to the top of the finial, 4 inches from the end of the spout to the back of the handle, the pot itself is 2 ½ inches in diameter at the belly and 2 inches from the base to the rim (just before the lid). The lid is 1 inch in diameter at the rim and 1 3/16 in diameter from edge to edge. The teapot measure 1 7/8 inches deep. The lid and finial are original to this teapot which is very rare of cloisonné of this age.
