We are very pleased to offer a new treasure.  This is a lovely Street Post Candle Lantern.  The frame is all in copper, the post base with holder is iron and the pins for the door are brass.  This Street Post Lantern stands 43 1/2 inches tall from base of the iron ring to the top of the crown.  the top measures 16 inches square the lantern body measures approximately 7 inches at the base of the glass to approximately 15 inches at the top of the glass with the glass being approximately 17 inches in height.  The glass panels are all approximate as each one is slightly different in size.  This Street Post Candle Lantern is Ca. 1854 and has been stored inside for nearly 50 years.  It is my understanding that this Street Post Lantern was restored 50 -70 years ago.  This is an original Street Post Lantern with the candle holder visible.  Please view all photos and feel free to ask any questions or request more photos.  This Street Post Lantern does have one glass pane that is broken and one pane that is missing.  For an additional fee, I can most likely have the two replaced with antique cut glass.
