Fine antique pewter creamer. Made by James Dixon & Sons. Bottom stamped please view all pictures. Has numbers #1538C with the 1 slightly lower and set apart from the 538C. The number 90 is above the name mark James Dixon & Sons. Creamer measures 4 7/8 inches high and 6 1/8 inches wide from spout to handle. The base diameter is 2 1/2 inches and the breadth of the top is 3 inches. It has eight paneled sides and the detailed decorative handle. The handle appears to have been repaired at some point and there are two small holes in the underside of the handle. This creamer is in wonderful condition considering its age and save for some needed and necessary polishing to be worthy of a colonial wife's cupboard. It does have some scratches from use and some spots at base. Terrific creamer for your collection!
