We are very pleased to be offering for bidding this lovely 19th Century Sewing or Picnic Basket.  This lovely Basket is in tiered in three sections and does show wear of its age, but remains in beautiful condition.  This was probably either a sewing basked or perhaps even a picnic basket.  This three tiered sectional basket measures 14 inches x 11 1/2 inches at the top and 12 1/2 inches x 9 inches at the bottom.  The Basket measures 14 inches in height from the base to the top of the basket lid and 17 inches in height from the base to the top of the handle.  This wonderful basket would be a lovely addition to any collection and is truly a fairly rare find.  This basket has an Iron rod to secure the lid of the basket with brass holes and tacks.  The craftsmanship on this lovely basket is absolutely beautiful.
