The cups and saucers are the same color, ivory/white
My Mother in Law who is french (ex mother in law) brought these over from Biarritz when she married my father in law. She gave me additional 4 cups and 4 saucers and this is what I discovered of the history of these. She brought them from France in 1949 and I would think they were part of her small hotel she ran with her mother. They are in excellent condition, not a scratch on them and on the bottom says what era they are.
Fontanelle & Maraud
Older decorator Fontanelle and Maraud items from the 1940's were all hand-painted, but later they began to use transfers (Rehaussé Main.) and embellishments by hand. According to her, they are hand painted inside and out (saucer) and the saucer plate as well. The saucer also has gold (14KT) on the handle and the bottom of that says UC Limoges France. This is for a set of two saucers and two demitasse cups.
Cup is 2" high by 2 1/2" wide including handle and saucer is 4" around. Thanks for looking!
