There are only two early copies of this book listed online--a First Edition at $325 to $375 and a later (1889) copy at $500!

Up for purchase is a hardback copy of The Indian and White Man: or The Indian in Self-Defense by Right-Hand Thunder and edited by Rev. D. W. Risher.  (Note:  Right-Hand Thunder is actually a pseudonym for Rev. Daniel Webster Risher, who was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Indiana where he spent his life.)  It was published in 1880 by Carlon & Hollenback of Indianapolis and this is a First Edition copy.  The book measures 5.5 x 7.75-inches in size and contains 515 pages.  This book is a scathing attack on the white man's treatment of the Indians.  See the very detailed content pages for the depth this book goes into.

This book is in good condition.  The covers have a scant bit of soiling along with some small scuffs on the rear.  Spine has age darkened with fraying and repaired tears to the end.  There is a slit along the bottom front spine trough that has been backed with maroon cloth to prevent further splitting.  Cover corners are worn through, but not bumped.  Clean interior with no markings, soiling, or age spotting.  No damage to pages other than a small ding in the fore-edge page edges that left a tiny edge tear to 30 pages.  The covers have been rebound such that the binding remains tight and square.  A nice copy in worn covers.
