You are bidding on a booklet entitled A Prayer A Chant A Myth: Pai-ya-tu-ma, God of Dew and the Dawn. This is one in a series of annual Christmas booklets produced by William and Leslie Denman. Rarely did they have a date, as in this one, and were published around 1946 to 1952. The booklets were printed in a limited edition of 500 by The Grabhorn Press of San Francisco. Each booklet contained a full-page color print. This one contains a Denman painting entitled "Gods that dance"/Aho'te Warrior Katcinas, and the print is dated 1949. The booklet measures 9 x 13-inches and contains 19 pages that includes translations by Frank Hamilton Cushing from the Zuni Creation Myth. See photos for more details. This booklet is in very good condition. It has clean covers save a couple of light round price sticker residue spots on the front. There are some very tiny edge tears/wrinkles around the edges where the covers overlap the pages and some sun-fading to the edges. Interior is in excellent condition with one tiny spot on the front blank page. The string binding remains tight and square. A very nice copy!
