It was published in 1981 by the Anglo-Danish Viking Project to accompany a large exhibition that appeared at three different European museums from 1981 to 1982. Most of the items in the exhibition were excavated from the Viking Coppergate site in York. The book measures 7.5 x 9.5-inches in size and contains 192 illustrated pages. This book gives a detailed historical coverage of the Vikings that incorporates the exhibition artifacts into the narrative. See photos for contents. This book is in very good condition. It has clean covers with edge rubbing and creasing to the top front corner only, but no tears, holes, or chips in covers. The interior is in very good condition with no damage to the pages other than a slight bit of rounding to the top page corners. Clean throughout with no markings or soiling.
