Up for purchase is a set of solid bronze bookends that depict two geese cutout overlays in sterling silver. They were manufactured by Sliver Crest (formerly Heinze Art Metal founded in 1906) circa the 1930's (?) with their manufacturer's mark atop the base along with the number 4321 (seen in photos). The cut out sterling silver geese were attached via sintering, a bonding process without welding. The base measures just under 4-inches square, and it stands 4.5-inches high. One bookend weighs 12.2 ounces and the other one weighs 12.0 ounces. See photos for more details. These bookends are in very good condition. The metal surfaces show no damage such as dents or cracks. Both bookends have a heavy patina that left a speckling effect on the surfaces, and one bookend may have a scant bit of corrosion on it, but it is difficult to tell if that is even the case given the patina. If polished, they should look brand new. A very nice set! See my Store for many more antique bookends in nice condition!. Buyer's have the right to request from me other forms of payment. Winning bidder to pay $15.00 in USPS Priority shipping and handling. Bookends usually ship out within three days of receipt of payment. Note to foreign buyers: The posted shipping is for U.S. only shipments. Foreign shipments at extra S&H--see payment details. Import duties, taxes and any other charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check with your country's custom office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. On Nov-18-10 at 19:03:49 PST, seller added the following information:
