You are bidding on a pair of polychrome, bronze clad bookends that depict a child reading a book, taken from a sculpture by Salvatore Morani (1879-1964). The were manufactured circa 1914 by Armor Bronze with the manufacturer's marks on the base. The base measures 4.5 x 5.75-inches in size, and stands 6.25-inches high. One bookend weighs 55.1 ounces and the other one weighs 58.7 ounces. See photos for more details. These bookends are in very good condition. There are no dents, cracks, chips or other damage to the metal surfaces. The only wear is loss of paint, mainly to the body of the child. A very nice set.
