Up for purchase is a very rare set of polychrome bronze-clad ship bookends that are marked on the back "Invincible Armada 1588." They were manufactured by the Armor Bronze Company circa 1926 with their manufacturer's markings on the rear base. The base measures 5.75 x 2.75-inches in size (at the widest points) and it stands 7-inches high. One bookend weighs 41.7 ounces and the other one weighs 44.1 ounces. See photos for more details. These bookends are in good condition. Both bookends have a bit of loss to the paint, mainly on the sails. One bookend has two very small dents to the covers of the cannon holes. The other bookend has a 1-inch long crack at the base of the front sail that has some separation at the bottom of the crack (shown below), but no dents. A nice set. See my Store for many more antique bookends in nice condition!. Buyer's have the right to request from me other forms of payment. Winning bidder to pay $15.00 in USPS Priority shipping and handling. Bookends usually ship out within three days of receipt of payment. Note to foreign buyers: The posted shipping is for U.S. only shipments. Foreign shipments at extra S&H--see payment details. Import duties, taxes and any other charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.
