Up for purchase is a solid bronze set of bookends--one depicting Lincoln's head and the other one depicting the last paragraph of Lincoln's 1865 Second Inaugural Address. These bookends were manufactured circa 1921. The Lincoln-head bookend is marked with the name of the sculptor, M. Peinlich. Both bookends are marked "solid bronze." The base measures 3 3/4 x 2 3/8-inches in size and stands 5 3/8-inches in height. One bookend weighs 32.4 ounces and the other one weighs 31 ounces. See photos for more details. Each bookend has two pin-head-sized dings to the edges, the largest of which is on the rear bottom of one bookend. There is a black streak and dot on the rear side of the speech bookend.
