You are bidding on a set of gray metal antique bookends that depict a cello player, with a celluloid head and sitting on a black marble base. It was manufactured by JB Hirsch circa 1932 with their copyright date and maker's mark on the back side. There is also the last name Ruhl, which is most likely the name of the sculptor of this design. The marble base measures 4 x 5.5-inches in size and the height is 6.5-inches. One bookend weighs 51.9 ounces and the other one weighs 52.3 ounces. These antique bookends are in mint condition. There are no cracks or chips in the marble bases, no damage to the metal surfaces, and especially no cracks or chips in the fragile celluloid heads.
