You are bidding on a set of cast iron bookends that depict two winged cherubs holding a bundle of fruit between them. It was manufactured by the Judd Company circa 1925 and numbered 9840. The casting is highly details and it has a beautifully painted speckled dark green surface. The base measures 3 x 6-inches in size and the height is 5.25-inches. One bookend weighs 48.8 ounces and the other one weighs 46.9 ounces. There is a felt pad on the bottom and maker's marks on the rear. These bookends are in excellent condition with no damage to the metal. There is a scant bit of paint loss along the rear bottom edges and also to the very tips of the knees and heads of the cherubs.
