You are bidding on a heavy set of antique bookends that were manufactured circa 1925 by the Armor Bronze Company. They depict a Catholic monk reading a book and are made of gray metal with a gold luster paint finish. The base is 4.5-inches in diameter and the height is 7-inches. There is a green felt pad on the bottom along with the manufacturer's label on each base. There are no markings on the metal. One bookend weighs 44 ounces and the other one weighs 50 ounces. See photos for more details. These antique bookends are in excellent condition. The metal has no cracks, dents, or broken parts. The only wear is a slight bit of rubbing to the paint on the left elbow and bottom edge of the hood on the rear sides. An exceptionally nice set that is in near mint condition!
