You are bidding on a set of antique bookends depicting Old Mat's Cabin, taken from Harold Bell Wright's 1907 novel, The Shepherd of the Hills. They were manufactured by the Haberman Company circa 1920 and are made of solid cast iron. The base measures 6.25 x 1.75-inches and the height is 5-inches (to the top of the chimney). The bottoms are covered with a strip of rubber that appears to have been added later. One bookend weighs 62.6 ounces and the other once weighs 66 ounces. See photos for more details.
