You are bidding on a pair of antique bookends that depict two horse heads surrounded by vines. They were produced circa 1930 and are made of gray metal with nice detail. There are no manufacturer's marking other that a "65" along the bottom rear edge (seen in photos), however coded as the X-1 manufacturer among collectors. The base measures 4.25 x 3.5-inches in size and the height is 4.5-inches. One bookend weighs 32.2 ounces and the other one weighs 36.5 ounces. See photos for more details. These antique bookends are in very good condition. There are no broken parts or cracks in the metal. There is one small dent near the top front corner on one base (barely seen at left end of main photo), and a bit of rubbing to the paint mainly on the sides of the bases. An exceptionally nice set!
