Up for purchase is a set of polychrome gray metal bookends that depict a parrot perched atop a book cover. They were manufactured circa 1927 by the K&O MEtal Novelties Company (1895-1939) with their manufacturer's mark barely seen at the base of the book spine. The base is triangle shaped with a 4-inch width and height. The bookends stand 6-inches high. One bookend weighs 57.2 ounces and the other one weighs 50.7 ounces. See photos for more details. These bookends are in very good condition. There are no dents, cracks, holes or other damage to the metal surfaces. The only wear is a small loss of paint mainly to the book edges and back of the parrots. A very nice set! See my Store for many more antique bookends in nice condition!.
