Up for purchase is a set of gray metal bookends that depict a retriever with a goose in its mouth. They were manufactured by Frankart, Inc. circa 1930 (manufacturer's mark barely visible on base). The base measures just under 9 x 3.5-inches in size, and it stands 4.5-inches high at the tip of the tail. One bookend weighs 36.8 ounces and the other one weighs 34.3 ounces. See photos for more details. These bookends are in near mint condition. There are no dents, holes, or cracks in the metal surfaces. The only wear is some loss to the paint, mainly around the edges of the base. A very nice set! See my Store for many more antique bookends in nice condition!. Buyer's have the right to request from me other forms of payment. Winning bidder to pay $15.00 in USPS Priority shipping and handling. Bookends usually ship out within three days of receipt of payment. Note to foreign buyers: The posted shipping is for U.S. only shipments. Foreign shipments at extra S&H--see payment details. Import duties, taxes and any other charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check with your country's custom office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. On Oct-31-10 at 18:47:05 PDT, seller added the following information:
