You are bidding on a set of antique bronze clad bookends that depict a merry jester that was designed by New York sculptor John Ruhl, with his name on the rear base. They were manufactured circa 1928 by Armor Bronze with their mark on one base side (seen in photos). The base measures 4 3/8 by 2 7/8-inches in size, and it stands 7 1/8-inch in height. Once bookend weighs 48 ounces (3 lbs.) and the other one weighs 46.3 ounces. See photos for more details. These bookends are in very good condition. There are no cracks or chips in the metal surfaces. There are a few small blemishes that includes a bump to the tip of the jester's hat on one bookend, and a small bump to the nose and knee on the other bookends.
