You are bidding on a set of heavy, solid bronze very rare antique bookends manufactured circa 1925. There are no manufacturer's marks on them. They feature a pioneer conestoga wagon being drawn by oxen. This particular bookend design is usually found made of syrocowood by Syracuse Ornamental, and rarely is this design seen in solid bronze. The base measures 5.25 x 2.5-inches in size and the height is 6.5-inches. The base has a thin metal plate that is in two pieces. One bookend weighs 7 lbs. 1 ounce and the other one weighs 6 lbs. 13 ounces. See photos for more details. These antique bookends are in mint condition showing no wear or damage. A choice set!
