Up for purchase is a circa 1979 Panasonic VCR Model NV-8310. These types of VCR are no longer made--with rotary heads and a variable speed that allows you to fully view your tapes at speeds you select, slower or faster, along with still frame views. So I'm putting it up for any VCR buffs out there who might be looking for one of these extinct models. It comes with the official Panasonic service manual for any repairs needed. However, I no longer have the original user's manual. Original price was $750.00. See photos for specifications. This VCR runs, but needs new belts. The FF and Reverse work, but the Play belt slips and then it stops the tape. Overall it is in good condition. The end broke off the plastic lid on the clock timer compartment, and has been glued back. Also the plastic in one corner of the Tracking knob cover got hot in the past and caused it to curl, but in no way effects the use of the knob. Otherwise, just normal wear on the case. Feature #3 (shown in photos) states that this VCR is "a truly compact, lightweight video cassette recorder," but it weighs 36 pounds. Consequently, I've listed it for local pickup only. Buyer's have the right to request from me other forms of payment. On Mar-20-11 at 21:24:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
