You are bidding on the Statue of Liberty edition of a Buck knife that was produced in 1986 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this statue. It was issued as Model no. 500LB and the catalog number is 1284. This knife is from a limited edition and bears the serial number 1519 on the rear side of the blade. The front of the blade has the Statue of Liberty in gold leaf. The handle is 4.25-inches in length and the blade is 3-inches long. The wood on the handle is taken from doors on the facilities at Ellis Island and the Liberty medallion on the handle is made from metal taken from the Statue of Liberty during restoration. A Certificate of Authenticity is included along with a wooden wall mount for the knife and the original box in which this knife was issued. See photos for more details. This knife appears brand new except for a single, 1/4-inch thin scratch on one of the rear metal plates on the handle. The certificate and stand are in mint condition.
