Up for purchase is a silver teston that was made in 1598 in the city of Metz, now in the Lorraine region of France (formerly known as Metensis). The front side depicts St. Stephen and the rear side is marked (translated) "New Money Metensis." The coin is 2.8 centimeters (1 1/8-inch) in size and weighs 9.5 grams. See photos for more details.
