You are bidding on a set of gray metal antique bookends that depict a sitting Great Dane. They were manufactured by the JF Company circa 1928 with their maker's mark on the rear side. The base measures 2 7/8 x 3-inches in size and the height is 7.75-inches. One bookend weighs 52.2 ounces and the other one weighs 46.6 ounces.

These antique bookends are in very good condition. The only damage to the metal are 5 very tiny circular dings along the rear end of the right shoulder of one Great Dane. The paint has rubbed off on the very tip of the noses and ears only. The paint has a black undercoat to the dark brown surface and there are numerous small flecks in the brown paint mainly along the rear sides. A very nice set of antique art deco antique bookends!
