Recent closet find you could call it.Not too often seen Alvarex Yairi model DY 48 s/n 60571 dated 1985.Handmade by famed luthier KazuoYairi who personally selects his woods from very aged spruce. So all though this guitar is 26 years old the wood your are getting quite possibly is much much older.These guitars rank up there with some of thre finest guitars in the world. Found in almost unplayed condition with no wear on the fingerboard and still with the original hangtag and case.Dreadnought size with styling very much of a D-28.Original. Gorgeous tight grain solid spruce top. Someone, probably the dealer had wrote inside the hangtag(see pic) price: "$1325/signed by Yairi".There is some writting /name on the inside label as well.The action is very comfortable and set at a shade above 3/32" at ther 12th fret. The tone this guitar projects is loud and amazing and it resonates to die for.It will blow away alot of $2500 guitars that I've played. Only issue is the bridge has some slight lifting(see pics)  toward the front (not the sides) and you can slide a piece of paper under it.....it's not severe but it is there.There is no bellying at all.You could leave as is and it may be great for years but I wanted to make potential buyers aware. It's just a matter of having the bridge reglued by a competent luthier for about $40-$50? If buyer request I can have it fixed here prior to shipping by my luthier for whatever the cost is.Minor finish chip on the top right shoulder (see pic)strictly cosmetic only. A great instrumet to cherrish for years. Semi-soft case is included.Feel free to make offers. Thank you for looking !!
