We prefer PayPal to our account: [email protected]. Please contact me immediately after sale closes at [email protected] to make arrangements for payment and shipping.

We ship via US Postal Service First Class, Priority Mail or Global Priority Mail. We usually ship within 3-5 days, see our feedback. (Canvas products may take an additional 3-5 days processing time.)

Not responsible for items lost or damaged in shipping unless optional insurance is purchased.

Satisfaction guaranteed. 100% of the purchase price will be refunded if item is returned in original condition within 14 days of date of purchase.  (Money back refund applies only to items bought via Buy It Now, Fixed Price or Auction features. Items purchased via the Make Offer process are eligible for store credit only)

In listings where the Make Offer option is available, legitimate offers will be considered. Lowball offers of 50% and less will be ignored.

A large number of our prints are available on canvas. Check our eBay store under Canvas Transfer category. As time permits we are adding as many as them as we can. If the print you want is not there, email me direct at [email protected] (Item will be listed on eBay) and I will add it to the store inventory for you. (Canvas and Giclee products may take additional processing time, they are done to order.)

Why buy it on canvas? Prints transferred to canvas look and feel like original oil paintings. They also can be framed like oils and could cost much less to frame then a paper print that requires glass, usually matting and a much higher fitting fee. In the long run, canvas transfers may end up saving you money when framing costs are considered.

Visit FrameHouseGallery's Blue Gallery and search over 7000 additional images. You cannot buy directly form the warehouse. You must request the item(s) be placed in our eBay store.

When you are comparison-shopping, please make sure you compare the shipping costs also. Many sellers will lower the price to get their listing to sort higher on the list and then raise the shipping price. We do not do that. I recently seen one seller offering a print for one penny, a print we sell for $9.99 and $3.99 shipping. Their shipping costs were $17.95

Any questions at all email me at [email protected]

Thank you!

Bodie

An original ghost town from the late 1800's. Bodie stands today in a state of "arrested decay". So coined by the State of California when they took over the town in 1962 to make it a State Historic Park.

In 1859 William (a.k.a. Waterman) S. Bodey discovered gold near what is now called Bodie Bluff. A mill was established in 1861 and the town began to grow. It started with about 20 miners and grew to an estimated 10,000 people by 1880! By that time, the town of Bodie bustled with families, robbers, miners, store owners, gunfighters and prostitutes of all kinds. At one time there was reported to be 65 saloons in town. Amongst the saloons were numerous brothels and 'houses of ill repute', gambling halls and opium dens. Needless to say that there was entertainment for every taste.

After a long day working the claims, the miners would head for the bars and the red light district to spend their earnings. The mixture of money, gold and alcohol would often prove fatal. It is said that there was a man killed every day in Bodie. Presumably, the undertaker never had a slow day.

There are records that say that Wm. Body took a ship from New York, around the horn to end up in San Francisco. The name of the town was changed at some point in time, before the majority of the people made their way to Bodie. There are different stories as to why - one says it was to keep the correct pronunciation of town's namesake. Another says that the sign painter didn't have the room for the tail of the lower-case "y". Today, even though Bodie is lost down a dusty 13 mile long road, off of state highway 395, it is amazing just how many people are aware of this once glorious town.

The low resolution of the eBay picture here may make this look a bit blurry or almost out of focus. The actual print you will receive is very crisp and clear, just, as the artist had intended it.
