David Manje

David Manje was born in Bisbee, Arizona in 1950.
He attended Arizona State University, University
of Arizona and Cochise College earning BFA a
degree in Printmaking. He also holds an
elementary and secondary art education
degree from Arizona State University.

David's first six years of art instruction were in the
public schools. While working in a local
printmaking facility producing monotype prints,
he became the studio art instructor at the Mesa
Arts Center. There, for over 22 years before
retiring, he offered a wide range of visual arts
classes that included drawing, pastel, airbrush,
watercolor and oil painting. He supervised a
visual arts staff that allowed him to also instruct
printmaking where many techniques were
taught. Currently he teaches at the Mesa
Community College and paints full time out of
his studio.

David has taken part in many exhibitions,
including Year of the Indian Exhibit, Fruitlands
Museum, Harvard, Massachusetts and "The
Prints and the Paper" International Juried
Exhibition, San Diego Art Institute, San Diego,
California. David has produced his own work
for many years and has had local, national,
and international gallery representation. He has
exhibited and had gallery representation in
local Scottsdale galleries for over fifteen years.
His art is in several collections, including Ford
Corporation, Lima Ohio, University of Arizona,
Mobil Oil Research, Paulsboro New Jersey and
Motorola, Chicago, Illinois.
