GRAHAM, BRUCE
The cowboy knows the world has idealized what he does for a living. Most people don't think about the fencing, or the calving, or the reality of spending a day on a tractor instead of a horse. But, there is a part of the western life that is romantic ... like when a bunch of cowboys are standing in a corral watching a good horseman work a colt. It's early evening, and the setting sun is making everything glow ... the horses, the cowboy hats, the Border Collie rolling in the dust. That's what Bruce Graham tries to capture in his oil paintings ... the moment in a corral, or on a trail, when even a cowboy know it's great to be a cowboy.
Bruce Graham has been painting scenes of the west since 1990. He and his wife live on a ranch in Northern Wyoming, where he divides his time between painting horses and sitting on them.
