CPM(California Pellet Mill) is the largest manufacturer of pellet mills in the world, their pellet mills are MADE IN THE USA, and are much better quality than many of the chinese units you see.  According to the people we spoke to at CPM 100hp is the bare minimum size for making wood pellets.  We do have several customers that use this model for making hard or soft wood pellets but a larger machine would be preferred.  These pellet mills work using ring die technology which is far superior to flat die technology...CPM use to make flat die pellet mills but they were considered an inferior technology so they discontinued them more than 40 years ago...

Pellet mills are commonly used to produce wood pellets, switch grass pellets, alfalfa and hay pellets, poultry/hog/cattle feed, as well as fertilizers and a lot of other industrial pelletized products. Unit is guaranteed with a 30 day warranty on parts, customer has 60 days to install unit before warranty period begins.
