VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE MILK BOTTLE FROM THATCHER GLASS MANUF. COMPANY. DR. HERVEY THATCHER OUT OF POTSDAM NY WAS A DRUGGIEST WHO WAS FREQUENTLY DESCRIBED AS "THE FATHER OF THE MILK BOTTLE". HE PUT THE FIRST COMMON SENSE MILK BOTTLE ON THE MARKET AND THE COMPANY HE FOUNDED BECAME THE MOST IMPORTANT MILK BOTTLE MANUF. OF THE 20TH CENTURY (1926-1960). THIS BOTTLE IS APPROX. 10" ROUND, APPROX. 5" TALL AND THE BASE IS APPROX. 3". THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE IS EMBOSSED WITH THE # 1, # 4305 AND THE LETTER E 51. AROUND THE BOTTOM RIM OF THE EMBOSSED "CONTENTS 12 OZ. LIQ., REG. SEALED " AND THE TRADEMARK OF "T WITH MC" . I BELIEVE THIS BOTTLE IS FROM THE EARLY 1940'S. THIS WOULD BE A WONDERFUL BOTTLE TO DISPLAY IN KITCHEN OR RESTAURANT. THERE ARE NO NICS, CRACKS OR CHIPS. IT ACTUALLY IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE.
