There where only about 1,000 or so people present on the 12th of February 2009. We was some of them. We traveled almost 275 miles each way, to attend this event. Only a small number of us went to the post office to get them postmarked with a Lincoln & Purple Heart stamps.

Since February 12, 2009 was Lincoln's 200th Birthday, the post office agreed to postmark the rolls of pennies if you purchased one of the new stamps to put on it. Therefore We Bought one each of the 4-Rare Commemorative  SOLD OUT LINCOLN Stamps..then the post office stamped the rolls.
