On February 12^th, We Traveled to the little Kentucky town of Hodgenville for the Bicentennial ceremonial release of the first re-designed one cent coin in 50 years, launched at Lincoln's birth place. There was only a couple thousand people present on the 12th.... We Traveled almost 275 miles one way to attend this event...We Brought back rolls released by the mint at this unique ceremony where the mint allowed us to obtain a small quantity of these freshly struck 1^st Day Of Issue ROLLS by the box full...ONLY a few of us thought about going to the Hodgenville KY Post office to purchase a lincoln stamp to put on each roll then had the USPS CANCEL each roll...very awesome...Makes these VERY RARE!!!

EVERY ROLL is Uncirculated and has one of the SOLD OUT Lincoln 200th Anniversary Stamps on it. Each stamp was placed on the roll and both where Stamped/Canceled. Only a small number of us went to the post office to get them postmarked with a Lincoln stamp on it.

Since February 12 was Lincoln's 200th birthday, the post office agreed to postmark the rolls of pennies if you purchased one of the new stamps to put on it. Therefore We Bought one each of the RARE SOLD OUT LINCOLN Stamp and a VERY RARE Purple Heart stamp..then the post office canceled the rolls…HURRY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!!!
