There are no dings or dents except small marks where the clip has marked the surface as shown in the second photo below.   The mechanism is in full working order, the action works smoothly. The lead is 1.18mm which is available on the Web. This is a very rare Yard O Led Sterling Silver Pencil, only 60 to 80 of this type were made without the hallmarks. Its type was the original main run of pencils in 1935, after the firm was established in 1934, as you can see, the patent number on the clip was applied for in 1933 by LUDWIG FREDERICK BRENNER, the founder of Yard O Led, it was granted in 1935 .
