No markings on this anywhere that I can
find to indicate age or manufacturer. Is a combination of metal and
plastic construction and everything is in working order. I did not test
its accuracy but it uses what looks like a standard clock work so would
be easy enough to replace if critical to you. I don't think this
would be great for keeping appointments by. When the fluorescent
back-light and revolving wheel is turned on, the clock is
more mesmerizing than you can imagine. You may not be able to avert your eyes. The
color wheel causes a spiraling effect where the colors continually
swirl to the center of the dial. I may have to find an easy way to
append a little video of it as it is wild. The outside edge of
the plastic hexagon frame measures approximately 15" across. The clock
itself has a true glass face which should give some indication of its
age. My guess would be mid 70's but that is truly just a guess. I doubt you'd find anything similar to this for years if ever.
